Welcome to the new Warm the Bench

A brief reintroduction

Welcome, friends and readers, to the newest iteration of Warm the Bench! I can’t thank all of you enough for signing up, engaging with the posts, and sharing your thoughtful feedback with me. Working on this site has been the most fun that I’ve had, and I’m eager to take the work to the next level by migrating over to Substack.

Substack lets me experiment with reader comments and threads, easy visuals, and a polite monetization structure that keeps the one-man-show caffeinated and ready to go.

You might be asking what you’ll get if you go for that paid tier, and beyond my eternal gratitude and increased coffee supplies, you’ll receive additional weekly posts like interviews and deep dives, the ability to suggest players or topics to analyze, and discussion threads to join. Substack’s platform has a ton of customization and flexibility, and I’m excited to experiment with it as we grow this community together.

No matter what, we’ll continue with our weekly post, free of charge and delivered right to your inbox.

I’m so appreciative of all you wonderful people, and I can’t wait to show you what’s next. This week, we’ll introduce a new series on career highs and outliers, starting with the most disrespectful 81 points in NBA history and a subscribers-only simulation of a Klay Thompson supernova.

Please check out the new site, send your thoughts to [email protected], and have a lovely start to your week.
